I have set a glowing simulated Opal cabochon in sterling and fine silver. The oval cabochon is framed by layered petal shapes I have cut from a sheet of pure sterling silver. Above the opal is a sparkling genuine Mystic Topaz gem. This one-of-a-kind design has been created by sawing, forming, soldering, and finishing the piece entirely by hand. The pendant hangs from a sterling silver chain measuring about 25 inches in total length. The silver has been oxidized and polished to create an antiqued patina finish.
